June 15th – A book scholarship for men attending the University of Washington.  See Mr. Neilson for more information.

ENTRANCE TESTS – 4 year schools, community colleges, technical schools, and apprenticeship programs all require entrance exams.  The exams for the 4 year schools are either the SAT or the ACT.  Community colleges offer either the ASSET or the Compass exams, while the technical schools require their own exams, dependent on the area you plan to study.  Apprenticeship programs require that exams be taken in designated locations.

The ASSET test is offered at Centralia College East, in Morton, on a weekly basis during the school year.  Call 496-5022 to make an appointment to take the test there.  The exam is also offered here at White Pass High School – usually in the spring of the year.

Here are the dates, deadlines and websites to register for the ACT and SAT:

ACT – website is www.actstudent.org
